THancock Genetics unit update 0 Jan 8 2009, 6:15 PM EST by THancock
Thread started: Jan 8 2009, 6:15 PM EST  Watch
Hi all -- genetics unit pre-unit questions distributed 1/5/09 ... four questions regarding genetics, how they know what they know, questions they have, and how they think they can find the answers were included. Following the unit, follow-up questions will be distributed and collected - did any ideas about genetics change (why/why not), did understanding/information change? Explain how you know that information changed ... etc.

Post any updates/ideas in this thread.

Thanks

c) Compare the way you thought about X prior to the lab and how you think about X now.
d) Connect how you changed your thinking about X to the way you persevered through the learning process.

What specific activities and strategies are you using to teach the habits of mind in your classes? Please note the specific habit, your intended outcome (what change you want to see in yourself and in your students), and the specific activities you're using to teach students the habits through content.
